Threadlockers

LOCTITE® 567 is a white, 1-part thread sealant designed for the locking and sealing of tapered metal pipe threads and fittings. As an anaerobic-curing thread sealant, it cures when confined in the absence of air between close fitting metal surfaces and prevents loosening and leakage from shock and vibration. Its high lubricating properties prevent galling on stainless steel, aluminum and all other metal pipe threads, and allows ease of disassembly. The product offers high temperature performance and oil tolerance. And it tolerates minor surface contaminations from various oils, such as cutting, lubrication, anti-corrosion and protection fluids.

LOCTITE® 5113 is an off-white, smooth, solvent-based paste for general purpose metal pipe sealing. Typical applications include lubricating and sealing threaded pipes, pipe fittings and flanges. Ideal for water pipes. Can be used on lines carrying alkalis (10%), ethylene glycol, petroleum and lubricating oil. It can withstand temperatures ranging from -59.8°F to +300.2°F (-51 °C to +149 °C).

LOCTITE® 263 is a red, high-strength, primerless threadlocker for permanently locking and sealing bolts, nuts and studs to prevent loosening due to vibration. It works on all metals, including passive substrates such as stainless steel, aluminum and plated surfaces without the use of primer. Suitable for use on most oil-coated, “as-received” fasteners without cleaning.

LOCTITE® 242 is a medium strength, medium viscosity, methacrylate-based threadlocking adhesive offering general purpose qualities. The product provides quick fixture times on steel, brass and stainless steel of 5, 15 and 20 min respectively. LOCTITE 242 is thixotropic to prevent migration after application and is intended for fasteners that require normal disassembly with standard hand tools.

LOCTITE® 243 is a general purpose threadlocker that provides a medium strength bond that seals and secures metal nuts and bolts to prevent loosening due to shock and vibration. LOCTITE 243 works on all metals, including passive substrates such as stainless steel, aluminum and plated surfaces. It is proven to be tolerant of minor contamination due to industrial oils, e.g., motor oils, corrosion prevention oils and cutting fluid.
